I know that most of you are thinking that all I talk about is football players, But im an all-around sports fan. So as that is true I will talking about my first basketball playing bumb, Darius Miles. Living in Portland, and the only major sports team being the Trail Blazers, we hear alot about them and what goes on in the organization. Well here in Portland not to many really care for Mr. Miles.
He has been hurt for quite awhile, he also hasn't really lived up to the money that he is making. He signed a big contract, because owner Paul Allen is a big idiot. Darius has done just a much to help this franchise as the owner has in recent years. He has been sitting on the bench, or not even at the game for almost two years. I went to a Blazer game the other night and they made an annoucement about Brandon Roy and the crowd went crazy. They wanted him to come back so much, had they made the done the same thing for MR. Miles he probably would have been Booed. Not to many people care for him in Portland anymore. If the Blazers knew what was good for the team they should trade him, bite the bullet, if they have to take on an overpayed player then do it, at least he could help the team by playing from time to time.
Miles came straight out of High School, which really if you look at the perecentage of players who make it big out of High school it isn't good, and Darius is yet another example of why they made the age limit rule in the NBA. He just hasn't lived up to the potenial that was placed on him. He has under preformed and been nothing but a BumB since he came into the league.
