So it is that time of the week again, time to talk about my next bumb of the week. As you can tell by the title this weeks bumb is Eli Manning. I didn't really think that I would ever be talking about a Manning but here I am.
He has been a bumb since his last day he was in college, He said that he didn't want to go to the San Diego Chargers, looking back knowing what he knows now, I bet he shuts his mouth and goes there. He would be on a team that is winning games just about every week. The Chargers had the first pick in the draft, after a few bad seasons, it didn't look like they might turn it around. So they drafted him anyway and then traded the rights to him for the right to Philip Rivers, who comes out of this deal in a great situation. He is put on a team that starts winning and if full of offenesive playmakers.
Eli goes to the New York Giant who were also rebuilding. He got put in the game and hasn't much since. Every football analyist says that he will get better with each game, but he hasn't. Every player has flashs of brillance at some point in there career, but the great ones can sustain it. He has yet to put those kind of games and numbers together. Im not saying that he has to throw for 300 yards and 5 TD's, but you have to control the game and lead the team to a Win. He hasn't really done that, the only time would be this year when he brought the Giants back against the Eagles to win in overtime. Otherthan that game he has been pretty lack luster this year, the culmination of this was this past Monday night. He was 19-41 for 230 yards with 11 td's and 2 ints, that is not controling your team, thats letting them down.
He just hasn't been putting up the numbers needed. Some people have said that playing sports in New York is tough. Yeah it is different, but if you make let it make a difference in the way you do things you wont hack it. He just hasn't been cutting it.
Well if you agree with me or not I dont care, and I wont change my mind. Until next week Eli is the BumB of the Week.

So you couldn't wait to pick on a Manning?! So what if he's not a 6'5'', 230 lb., laser rocket arm quarterback...who is?! Oh wait...nevermind. I can't quite agree that he's a bumb - a bumblet, perhaps?
